Terms of Service

Effective: March 13, 2026.

These Terms of Service govern your use of Altitude Crew Centre, the virtual airline management platform operated by Air Canada Virtual ("ACVA", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Altitude Crew Centre, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to comply with them in full. You also agree to abide by the Infinite Flight Community (IFC) guidelines and any additional rules established by Air Canada Virtual administration.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register for or use the platform.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not:

  • Share your account credentials with any other person.
  • Allow another person to use your account or callsign.
  • Create multiple accounts without staff authorisation.
  • Provide false information during registration or in your profile.

If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify staff immediately via Discord. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where shared or compromised access is detected.

3. Virtual Airline Operations & Conduct

Air Canada Virtual operates with a standard of realism and professionalism consistent with real-world airline operations. As a member, you agree to:

  • Fly only on the Expert Server in Infinite Flight unless otherwise permitted by staff.
  • Use your assigned Air Canada Virtual callsign on all flights filed as ACVA operations.
  • File accurate PIREPs that honestly reflect your actual flight. Do not file PIREPs for flights you did not complete, or manipulate flight data in any way.
  • Fly with ATC when available and follow all ATC instructions.
  • Operate realistic flight plans and procedures appropriate to the aircraft and route.
  • Maintain the minimum activity requirements established by airline administration to avoid being marked inactive.
  • Submit leave of absence requests before extended periods of inactivity.

Violations of operating standards may result in PIREP rejection, rank reduction, a warning, or account suspension at the discretion of airline administration.

4. ACARS & Telemetry Integrity

Altitude Crew Centre uses ACARS integration to record real-time flight telemetry for PIREP validation. You agree not to:

  • Deliberately manipulate, spoof, or circumvent ACARS data recording.
  • File a PIREP using a flight that was not conducted under your own account.
  • Attempt to interfere with or reverse-engineer the ACARS or API integration.

Staff reserve the right to review raw telemetry data associated with any PIREP submission. PIREPs that do not match recorded telemetry may be rejected or flagged for review.

5. Community Conduct

All members are expected to conduct themselves with respect and professionalism across all ACVA-affiliated spaces, including the Altitude platform, our Discord server, and the Infinite Flight Community forum. You must not:

  • Harass, insult, or discriminate against other members or staff.
  • Impersonate other members, staff, or airline representatives.
  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content through any platform channel.
  • Engage in behaviour that damages the reputation of Air Canada Virtual or its members.

Conduct violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the airline and all affiliated communities.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Altitude Crew Centre for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the platform, its members, or third parties. Prohibited activities include:

  • Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorised to access.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping, or interfering with platform infrastructure.
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities rather than reporting them to staff.
  • Uploading malicious code, scripts, or files of any kind.
  • Using the platform to collect information about other members without their consent.

7. Rank System & Progression

Rank assignments and promotions are at the sole discretion of airline administration and are based on accumulated flight hours, exam results, activity, and conduct. Rank requirements may change over time. We make no guarantee that flight hours accumulated under a previous rank structure will automatically qualify for promotion under an updated one.

Ranks may be reduced or revoked in response to conduct violations, inactivity, or fraudulent PIREP submissions.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and software comprising Altitude Crew Centre is the property of its developers and contributors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose as a member of Air Canada Virtual. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without express written permission.

Airline liveries, logos, and branding used within the platform — including the Air Canada name and branding — are the property of their respective owners and are used in a fan-created, non-commercial virtual aviation context only. Air Canada Virtual is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Air Canada or any of its subsidiaries.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Your personal data will be removed immediately as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to Altitude at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or acted in a manner inconsistent with the values of the community. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — including limitation of liability — remain in effect.

10. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

Altitude Crew Centre is a community-operated, non-commercial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Air Canada, Infinite Flight, Laminar Research, or any of their parent companies or subsidiaries.

The platform is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including data loss, service interruptions, or rank/flight record discrepancies.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Canadian courts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Altitude after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
